  • NEW LANDSPEED RECORD

So today I have completed my quest to replace all the filters in my beautiful benz. The last filter was the smallest, least expensive, and hardest to find. And sense I have replaced all filters in the car it now can reach empty for once and I can add diesel booster to the entire tank this next fill up. This booster is supposed to increase the cetane in the diesel. I guess it helps the combustion of the diesel sense it is a static combustion unlike the explosive gasoline combustion. So I drove on the highway at 90mph for about an half a mile or so, down hill. But I don't care if it was down hill. I was going 90mph in a 2.4L, 67hp, 24 year old, diesel Mercedes Benz. When you go that fast in that car even the glove box vibrates, haha. Next to replace is the reverse light switch. I have been using my brake lights since I got the car and I always park backwards and in the back of the parking lot. I really need to give the beast a good scrub too. Pictures are coming soon after. I know how much you have anticipated this feature on my Xanga.

    Dirty hands and all,

    Eric

  • I made a goal to drive fast yesterday I did. Well last night. I had to pick up my dad from Monroe,OH from Richmond, IN and I know the back way through the Ohio country. So on the way is a fairly strait road that I went 111mph on, up hill. On a side note the Cadillac's internal engine computer governs your speed after110mph. It was crazy fast and I could have gone faster. I am sure the SUV that was tailing me freaked out as I flew away.

My third job starts this weekend after I do the pee in a cup drug test this Wednesday. Cross your fingers cause I haven't studied at all. Off to Pac-Sun to work today though.

  • Went to work today to find that Lobill is having a Disney Cruise Sweepstakes for 48 days and counting. At the end we will have a drawing to see who is the winner for the family cruise or just four people. And to show our support we have to where those sailor caps for the next 48 days and a plastic lei. I could have easily worn a button but we had to go farther; into hats. Plus I think they are too small and can only fit the crown of my head. Thinking of requesting the next 7 weeks off. One of my coworkers is now certian he is going to quit and take up a job at American Eagle. I have to suffer through this but I may take next week off  to concentrate on  my other two jobs.

I also got my 360 in the mail yesterday. It was custom painted black, upgraded cooling fans, and blue LED lights in the back that came with two wireless controllers, 3 games, a wireless internet adapter, and two headsets. It was what it was described to be but the fans in the power supply seem pretty noisy. They are more noisy than a desktop computer fan.

I have lost my interest in fixing up my Beast today. It  is great without a new exhaust but having a car with more power to start out with and doesn't leak fluids sounds soooooo much better. My Grandpa said that he'll get me a newer car if I restart college and pay of Cincinnati's bill. So far the Cincy bill is paid leaving me with $24 in my account and I am getting resestered for IVY Tech. So in about 3 or less months I'll be drifting around corners in a better car.

    RWD all the way.

  • So...

I haven't posted in over a month and no one said anything?! Oh well, here's an update for all you meager faithful...

    Saturday, August 12

Got a ticket for turning left at a red light in Liberty, IN and I cost me $134.50 to believe I was at a stop sign. Next time I am going to court to see if my ticket writer shows and I won't have to pay the ticket. This was my first ticket. I never even got a warning as my first. Freaking' Liberty cops. And later that night I was tailed by another cop car at 2 AM. I guess he was checking if I had expired plates. If I hadn't been on top of that I would have gotten two tickets in less than 24 hours!

    This week,

Almost got fired at LoBills for calling in late after my shift had started. This counts as my first write-up at this job. So as I left I grabbed my schedule to find I am working at 8:30 AM this Sunday. I think they are trying to get me fired. I left there and headed for my Mercedes mechanic to talk some stuff about my car. Found out that my easy fix for my right rear caliper seal fell threw and looks like I'll either have to buy a repair kit for it or another caliper for my beloved Beast. He did give me a way to regain some of my top end power though. He told me that changing the fuel filters will help a lot. I made my way to CARQUEST to check it out and my total came to about $13 for the main filter (Mercedes has two) and a new oil filter. Then I made my way to my grandma's place to pick-up some computer speakers she wasn't using then went to my uncle's house to put the new filters in. It took me two hours and hands covered in black oil to put both in and man were they worth it. Remember how I said I couldn't make highway speeds in my past updates, even 55 mph. That is a thing of the past. I even set a new speed record in the car after the self installation. I made 85 mph on a flat road!! Now to get a better exhaust to free some more horses and make 100mph like the speedometer says. Problem with that is I cannot go through drive-thru's any more. Who cares, go inside its faster any way. Later that day I had to work at Pac-Sun and I still think my hands were clean after washing them in tile cleaner, hand soap, dish soap, and dial soap. Hope I didn't get anything on the clothes I handled there.

I am currently getting registered for IVY Tech's intermediate algebra class in October. Sounds funny but I need a refresher course and this should be cake and pie. Another thing going on is I might be getting a job stocking pizzas for the evil Red Barron and Tony's. This job will be easy for me because I have experience in doing that job because of working with my dad over the years. He sells the illustrious DiGornios, Tombstone, and Jack's pizzas. $8.50 an hour for 10-12 hours is pretty good considering the job may only take 4.

    Today,

I traveled to Ohio to play football with Kelvin, Isaac, Jason, Mario, and Devin today only to find no one ready to play. Kelvin told me to meet up with them at Mario's at 11 AM. Jason was there at Mario's but wouldn't answer his phone, Isaac was asleep and never answered, Kelvin turned off his phone to not be bothered by his boss on his day off, didn't know Mario's number (still don't, oops), and Devin is some kid that lives in Mario's neighborhood. I didn't care much because I got to go 86mph on the highway and listen to my new CD, Wolfmother. Still got to play football today and play some 360 at Mario’s place and Kelvin's. Any comments on this post will be greatly appreciated.

    Your Nimrod,

    Eric
